Clash of the Titans is a 2010 fantasy film which is a remake of the 1981 film of the same name. It is loosely based on the Greek myth of Perseus and stars Sam Worthington, and an all star cast!
The film was originally set for standard release on March 26, 2010, but later it was announced that the film would be converted to 3-D and released on April 2, 2010.
The film's plot - born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth.
Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
Samuel Henry J. "Sam" Worthington is an English-born Australian actor, best known for his roles as Jake Sully in the 2009 film Avatar and Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation. Worthington was nineteen and working as a bricklayer when he auditioned for the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and was accepted, with scholarship.
